Alpha Epsilon Pi was founded to provide opportunities for the Jewish college man seeking the best possible college and fraternity experience. We have maintained the integrity of our purpose by strengthening our ties to the Jewish community and serving as a link between high school and career. No one could tell me where my soul might be;
I searched for G_d, but he eluded me;
I sought my brother and found all three.
Ernest Howard Crosby. The lines written out are from the poem "The Search" by E. Howard Crosby. Howard Crosby was neither a fraternity man nor a Jew, but the words in his poem have a meaning to all the brothers in the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. The meaning is open to interpretation, and is probably unique and special to each brother, but each pledge is required to memorize the Crosby quote before he is initiated as a brother.
